The Gundam statue will be on display in Times Square in New York City on Saturday.

NEW YORK — Bandai Namco Holdings Inc. has launched a promotional event for the anime series “Mobile Suit Gundam,” which will tour 14 locations across the United States between August and October.
On Friday and Saturday, fans flocked to a booth in New York City’s Times Square. In addition to a 2-meter-tall Gundam statue, there was a plastic model-making workshop and a display of the latest games. There was a store selling limited edition items, which drew more than 50 people in line.
