Peak flowering season has arrived for the Shibazakura, which grows in a garden between office buildings in Minato Ward, Tokyo. Located in the Mita Twin Building West of Sumitomo Realty & Development Co. approximately 60,000 shibazaura plants fill the garden’s 1,500 square meters, attracting workers and residents from the neighborhood.
At noon on Monday, spectators visited the garden, admired the view and took photos. The garden is open 24 hours a day and admission is free.
According to Sumitomo Realty & Development, the flowers will be in full bloom this weekend, bringing beauty to the area until the end of the month.
