AEON launches nationwide sale at a fixed price of 40,000 yen

TOKYOJune 3 (News On Japan) – In response to the fixed tax cut that started this month, AEON has launched a flash sale, uniformly reducing prices to 40,000 yen.

As the flat tax cut of 40,000 yen per person kicks in, AEON is giving 11 items that normally cost between 50,000 yen and 60,000 yen, such as beds and televisions, a discount of 15% to 40%.

AEON Retail, Head of Sales Planning at Ito: “As a national retailer, our role is indeed to stimulate consumption and energize Japan.”

The sale will take place in approximately 500 AEON stores nationwide, starting on June 3 and running until the end of June, based on limited quantities.

Other retailers are also expanding sales and other promotions in hopes of boosting consumption through the flat tax cut.
