Osaka Prefecture police have arrested a man on suspicion of stabbing to death a 19-year-old student, believed to be his girlfriend, at her apartment in Hirakata city, Osaka Prefecture.
On Saturday afternoon, 26-year-old Sho Nishimitsu from Akashi, Hyogo Prefecture, called police from a hotel in Osaka city, saying he could not pay his room rate. When police arrived on the scene to handle the case, he told them, “I killed someone.”
After reaching the address Nishimitsu gave them, officers found the victim, Karen Watanabe, dead in her apartment.
