Superstar WNBA rookie Caitlin Clark has no regrets about staying off the U.S. Olympic women’s basketball team, with the Indiana Fever guard saying Sunday that the decision gave her extra motivation.
USA Today broke the news this weekend that Clark has not been selected for the team that will travel to the Games in Paris. Clark, the all-time leading NCAA scorer, confirmed the news to reporters.
“Honestly not a disappointment, it just gives me something to work for,” she said. “It’s a dream, you know – hopefully one day I can be there. I think it’s just a little bit more motivation. Hopefully I can be there again in four years.”
