The Tokyo District Court on Monday sentenced a former Industry Ministry bureaucrat to 10 years in prison for drugging six women with sleeping pills and then raping or groping them in 2022.
Dai Sato, a 34-year-old former bureaucrat at the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, gave six women in Tokyo a drink mixed with sleeping pills so that they would not be able to resist his advances, and then sexually assaulted them. in a hotel or an internet cafe, the ruling said.
He raped two of them but was unsuccessful in his attempts to have intercourse with the other four individuals because they were too drunk to have sex or for other reasons, the report said, adding that he groped them instead or ejaculated into the victim’s underwear.
