TOKYO (Jiji Press) – Honda Motor Co. said Thursday that it will release a new electric commercial mini vehicle called N-Van e: in Japan on October 10.
The Japanese automaker is positioning the N-Van e: as a flagship for the domestic electric vehicle market, which includes Nissan Motor Co.’s Sakura mini car. owns approximately 40%.
The N-Van e: can travel about 150 miles on a single charge and starts at about ¥2.43 million. It was developed from the N-Van commercial mini vehicle, which was launched in 2018.
The new model will help Honda “lead a growing EV market that is driving demand for rugged commercial vehicles,” a company official said.
