Hong Kong is demanding details about the foreign trade bureau official detained in Britain

Hong Kong leader John Lee has called on British authorities for full information about the arrests of three men, including a manager at a Hong Kong government office, who were charged with assisting Hong Kong’s foreign intelligence service.

Speaking to reporters Tuesday, a day after the men appeared in a British court, Lee confirmed that one of the men, Bill Yuen, was a college classmate who was photographed with Lee in a group graduation photo in 2002.

Lee cited a statement from the Chinese embassy in London rejecting what she called โ€œthe British fabricationโ€ of the case and the โ€œunjustified accusationโ€ against the Hong Kong government.
