Ruby is still very new to ARK, but in just a few weeks this calico cat has gone from being as unmoving as a stone to rolling over and asking for belly rubs whenever she can.
Although her former owner said Ruby was terribly timid and nervous, no one was prepared for how scared Ruby would be when she arrived at the shelter. She was incredibly petrified and all she could do was climb straight to a high spot and stare at her new surroundings from above.
Her stony expression never changed – until someone pulled out a packet of cat treats. Ruby crawled down from her seat, very carefully approached the ARK staff, and began to eat, keeping her eyes wide open the entire time. Charmed by repeated indulgences and realizing that she is in no great danger, Ruby is immensely relaxed. Once this tricolor girl finds the special person who wants to adopt her, Ruby will definitely feel at home, breathe easy and become a gentle, precious and very beautiful companion.
