There is no one-size-fits-all fatherhood for foreign-born fathers in Japan

While the general premise of Chichi no hi, or Father’s Day, is not much different from that in other countries, the experience of fatherhood here – especially for fathers who come from abroad – is special. And with the holidays quickly approaching, it’s probably best not to wait until the last minute to grab some yellow roses, a box of candy, or sake for your old man.
