Bright yellow flowers bloom in Japan Park in western Tokyo; lemon buds give the appearance of a large yellow carpet

About 4 million yellow cosmos flowers have been planted in the park, which straddles the border of the cities of Tachikawa and Akishima, giving it the appearance of a yellow carpet. A 74-year-old visitor from Musashimurayama, Tokyo, remarked: “The color mix of the blue sky, white clouds and lemon-colored flowers is so beautiful.”
