TOKYOOctober 8 (News On Japan) – The Bank of Japan (BOJ) has released its October regional economic report, known as the ‘Sakura Report’, announcing an upward revision to the economic outlook for two of the nine regions of the land, Hokuriku and Tokai. .
The BOJ cited reconstruction progress in Hokuriku after the Noto Peninsula earthquake, but also expressed caution about the possible impact of record-breaking rainfall in September.
For the Tokai region, the BOJ attributed the upgraded rating to a recovery in production at major automakers as the impact of certification irregularities has subsided. The economic outlook for the remaining seven regions remained unchanged.
