Donald Trump has denounced the sweeping policy agenda put together by some of his closest White House advisers, which proposes a sweeping overhaul of the federal government and stacks agencies with supporters of the former president.
“I know nothing about Project 2025,” the presumptive Republican nominee said in a post on his Truth Social platform on Friday, in the wake of controversial comments from a prominent conservative who heads the project.
“I have no idea who’s behind it. I don’t agree with some of the things they say and some of the things they say are just ridiculous and horrible,” Trump added. “Whatever they do, I wish them luck, but I had nothing to do with it.”
