Several senior European officials met with a top foreign policy adviser to Donald Trump at NATO’s summit in Washington this week, as America’s allies prepare for the former president’s possible re-election.
Keith Kellogg, a retired lieutenant general who served as Trump’s National Security Council chief of staff, said he has met with several European officials, including foreign ministers, in recent days. He did not identify the foreign officials or what was discussed in the talks.
Kellogg, who has frequent contact with Trump, has stressed that he does not speak for the former president or his campaign.
