Japan’s Kenichiro Fumita wins gold in men’s Greco-Roman wrestling; Nonoka Ozaki wins bronze

PARIS โ€” Japan’s Kenichiro Fumita defeated China’s Cao Liguo on Tuesday in the final of the men’s 60-kilogram Greco-Roman wrestling event at the Paris Olympics, winning the country’s first gold medal in the event in 40 years.

Fumita won silver at the 2021 Tokyo Games. Before the final in Paris, he said: “The only thing I’ve thought about for three years is winning the next one. I’m going to do everything I can.”
