TOKYOSep 4 (News On Japan) – Japanese Minister of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism Saito has announced his intention to establish a new public-private partnership organization for ride-sharing, aimed at solving the problem of “transportation gaps,” areas where obtaining transportation options is a challenge.
On September 4, during a meeting of the task force to solve the problem of transportation shortages, Minister Saito announced the plan to establish this organization. Both the government and the private sector will be involved to discuss and address these challenges.
The organization is expected to include participants from government, municipalities facing these issues, and companies in the aviation, rail, and ridesharing app industries. The goal is to connect municipalities with private companies to accelerate the adoption of ridesharing and safe transportation options.
In addition, efforts are being made to address the shortage of taxis and other means of transport at airports and major stations that attract many tourists.
