Eight Palestinians were killed Sunday in an Israeli airstrike on a training school near Gaza City used to distribute aid, Palestinian witnesses said, as Israeli tanks pushed further into the southern city of Rafah.
The strike hit part of a vocational training facility that the UN’s Palestinian refugee agency, the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA), runs and which now provides assistance to displaced families, the witnesses said.
โSome people came to receive coupons, others had been driven from their homes and sought shelter here,โ said Mohammed Tafesh, one of the witnesses.
