Cohen on cross: 5 lessons from Trump’s criminal trial

Michael Cohen faced fierce cross-examination Tuesday afternoon in the criminal trial of Donald Trump, as the defense tried to take down the prosecution’s star witness.

Cohen was repeatedly attacked by Trump’s attorney, Todd Blanche, who suggested he was evasive on the stand, suffered from selective amnesia and was a jilted former employee who profited from his hatred of the former president.

Cohen, once Trump’s personal lawyer, has testified that Trump ordered him to pay $130,000 in hush money to Stormy Daniels, a porn actor, to suppress her story about a sexual encounter with him at a Lake Tahoe hotel in 2006.
