Digital payroll payments are failing to gain traction among companies

TOKYOOctober 20 (News On Japan) – Nearly 90% of companies have no plans to implement a system that allows employees to receive part of their salary in digital currency.

A survey conducted by a private research firm among 1,479 companies found that 88.8% of respondents had no plans to implement digital payroll payments.

Only 3.9% of companies said they were considering adoption.

While proponents cited benefits such as lower bank transfer fees, many companies opposed the system over concerns about increased administrative burdens and security risks.

In addition, many expressed concerns that there is insufficient knowledge of the system, indicating the need for a wider exchange of information to promote its implementation.

Digital payroll payments started in some sectors last month, with several companies looking to enter the market.
