Three-time Olympic medalist in figure skating, Shoma Uno, has no regrets about retiring from competitive sport. He says he wants to pat himself on the back for what he has achieved.
“I have no lingering feelings (for figure skating) at all,” Uno told a news conference in Tokyo on Tuesday, explaining his decision. Uno, who announced his intention to retire on Instagram last week, said he will continue figure skating as a professional.
“When I look back at my previous images, I can really say that I worked very hard. I think I have accomplished something truly remarkable by honing the skills every day to get to this point,” he said.
