FamilyMart launched this unmanned trailer store this morning at the construction site of the Expo in Yumeshima. Until now, there were only two convenience stores on Yumeshima Island, and issues such as the time it took for construction workers to obtain food and drinks and travel to a supermarket had an impact on labor productivity.
This newly installed unmanned supermarket, which is mobile and offers approximately 280 different products, is expected to significantly support employees.
In addition, the store is equipped with solar panels and batteries for power supply and the store can operate independently via satellite internet. There are also plans to deploy this model in disaster-affected areas in the future.
