A 49-year-old stripper filed a lawsuit in the Tokyo District Court on Monday, demanding that an operator of an adult video website remove pornographic films in which she appeared some 30 years ago because she had only agreed to them being shown in theaters were shown.
The plaintiff, who goes by her stage name Miyuki Ariga, is also seeking ¥1.5 million ($9,620) in damages.
According to the lawsuit, Ariga appeared in adult films shot around 1994 under a contract that stated they would only be shown in a limited number of theaters. But she discovered about 13 years ago that the films were being sold on DVD.
