Japanese theme parks are expanding their offerings in the run-up to summer

Is it just me, or has everyone noticed an uptick in theme park news recently?

From the world of Walt Disney to the expanded Pokemon universe, Japan seems to have a theme park for almost every animated project out there. Thanks to a predicted surge in travelers post-pandemic, it appears many of these parks are planning ahead to welcome visitors back with new attractions.

The biggest news is the newly opened Fantasy Resources at Tokyo DisneySea. It represents the largest expansion since DisneySea opened in 2001, adding 140,000 square feet to the park through four attractions and three restaurants inspired by Disney films such as โ€œFrozen,โ€ โ€œTangledโ€ and โ€œPeter Pan.โ€
