An Indian craft brewery backed by Japan’s Kirin is aiming to surpass established global brands by building a $70 million beer factory and raising new capital in preparation for an IPO in 2026.
B9 Beverages is building a new brewery in the northern Indian state of Uttar Pradesh that, once completed, will become Indiaโs largest brewery and expand production, founder and CEO Ankur Jain said in an interview. The company currently leases six breweries and sells the equivalent of 8 million cases of beer a year.
The New Delhi-based company has also appointed investment bank Morgan Stanley to lead a fresh round of financing ahead of its IPO.
