Kishida could break with Motegi and Aso over fund regulation

Now that the Political Funds Control Law has been passed, the question on many people’s minds is whether Prime Minister Fumio Kishida will order a reshuffle of his cabinet and the executive committee of the UN later this summer, after parliament concludes on June 23. Liberal Democratic Party.

Such a move would be aimed at boosting his public stature and winning re-election as party chairman in September – even if it could mean a rift with two veteran party heavyweights with whom he recently clashed.

In order to win approval before the end of the current parliamentary session, Kishida has chosen to accept the demands of coalition partner Komeito and opposition party Nippon Ishin no Kai, which shares some of the LDP’s objectives.
