A Health Ministry panel on Thursday shared its vision to make Japan’s healthcare startups abroad more competitive based on making more strategic investments.
The panel believes that Japan has the potential to become a global leader in healthcare innovation, but there are challenges in commercializing these innovations and growing them into sustainable businesses.
โJapan’s healthcare, social infrastructure and treasure, must now be led by startups to innovate and contribute, both in Japan and globally,โ panel chairman and management consultant Shuji Honjo said in a statement.
