LILLE, France (Reuters) – In the earlier Group B match, Germany comfortably beat Japan 97-77 thanks to their strong attack and the Wagner brothers’ duo of Franz and Moritz, who combined for 37 points.
Japan’s more fluid style of play wasn’t enough to defeat the world champions, despite the efforts of Rui Hachimura, who dunked brilliantly and totaled 20 points and 10 rebounds.
