SoftBank Group founder Masayoshi Son outlined one of the most aggressive timelines for artificial intelligence adoption to date, envisioning a near future where the technology would control entire households.
AI will soon be able to monitor the health of family members, call the doctor if necessary, run errands, make reservations, assess optimal investments and guide young children, Son said Thursday in a speech at an annual forum for business clients.
He raised his expectations for when artificial general intelligence โ the long-term goal for developers from OpenAI to Alphabet’s Meta Platforms and Google โ would reach within the next two to three years.
