KOBEJune 25 (News On Japan) – A groundbreaking ceremony was held on June 24 for a new green square in Kobe Bay, where redevelopment efforts are underway, including the construction of a multi-purpose arena.
The redevelopment of Kobe Bay, centered around a multi-purpose arena with a capacity of approximately 10,000 people, continues to make progress. A new green square will be constructed adjacent to the arena. On this day, stakeholders gathered for the groundbreaking ceremony.
The square, called “TOTTEI PARK”, will have a hilly design that can serve as seating for spectators, along with a stage for outdoor events. On the hill there will be a building with multifunctional spaces and various restaurants.
Shibuya Itsuki of One Bright KOBE, the operating company, said, “We hope people will freely use this space as a place of relaxation.”
The intention is for the square to open next to the arena in April next year.
