There is no reason to sanction Israel at the Games, says the head of the Paralympics

Wars and conflicts should not affect participation in the Paralympic Games, which should convey a message of hope and support, and Israel should not be sanctioned, says Andrew Parsons, head of the International Paralympic Committee (IPC).

The IPC said in March that Russian and Belarusian athletes competing in the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games would not be part of their opening ceremonies.

Russian and Belarusian athletes cannot participate in team competitions from July 26 to August. 11 Olympic Games and the August 28-Sept. 8 Paralympic Games, but may participate as neutral participants โ€“ without flags or anthems being played.
