Japan’s Tokito Oda has reached the final of the men’s wheelchair tennis singles at the Paris Paralympic Games, securing a place in the semi-finals on Thursday.

Oda defeated Argentine Gustavo Fernandez 6-2, 7-5.

Oda will face Britain’s Alfie Hewett in the final on Saturday.

Oda, who is competing at the Paralympic Games for the first time, won his second consecutive French Open in June at Roland Garros, the same venue where the Paralympic tennis matches are held.
