Tokyo woman arrested for allegedly killing her husband with a golf club

Tokyo woman arrested for allegedly killing her husband with a golf club Tokyo police on Tuesday took a 52-year-old woman into custody for allegedly killing her husband with a golf club.

The suspect, Miho Yoshitake, allegedly told police, “I hit him back because he hit me with the golf club first. I didn’t mean to kill him.”

She is accused of hitting her husband, Makoto Yoshitake, 53, a company employee, in the head with the club, resulting in his death at their home in the Nerima neighborhood on Monday evening.

At around 9.15pm on Monday, the deceased’s parents discovered him bleeding from the head in the bathroom after the suspect contacted them.

They called emergency services and he was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.

According to police, the suspect claimed she only used the golf club after confiscating it from her husband. She also had minor head wounds consistent with the blow.

Their son, who is in his 20s, told police the couple had been arguing since Monday morning.

Authorities are further investigating the circumstances of the incident as the couple appears to have had a history of domestic violence.
