Trade ministers from the United States, Japan and South Korea pledged Wednesday to cooperate on strategic areas including artificial intelligence safety, export controls, clean energy and semiconductor supply chains.
“We are redoubling our efforts to work together,” US Commerce Secretary Gina Raimondo said at the start of the meeting in Washington.
“As we are three leading economies in manufacturing, services, technology and innovation, we must work together in the interest of not only our countries, but also the safety and security of the world,” Raimondo said.
