Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said former US President Donald Trump should come up with a plan to end the war with Russia as soon as possible. He warned that such a proposal should not violate the country’s sovereignty.
“If Trump knows how to end this war, he should tell us today,” Zelenskyy said Wednesday in an interview with Bloomberg Television in Kiev. “If there are risks for Ukrainian independence, if we lose the state — we want to be prepared for this, we want to know.”
Trump, who is leading President Joe Biden in the polls ahead of the November election, has boasted that he will have ended the war by the time he is inaugurated in January.
