CLEVELAND (AP) — Andy Ibáñez homered his first two times and drove in four runs, and Ryan Vilade got his first major league hit and three RBIs in his debut for Detroit, leading the Tigers to an 11-7 victory over the Cleveland Guardians led. Tuesday night.
Ibáñez homered on Logan Allen’s third pitch of the game and added a three-run shot in the second. Ibáñez doubled in the eighth inning and finished 4 for 4 with a walk and four runs.

Ibáñez’s second home run off Allen gave the Tigers a 5-2 lead. Allen only lasted 2 1/3 innings.

The Guardians responded in their half by scoring five runs: four on Ramírez’s two-run double and Naylor’s ninth homer, a two-run shot that made it 7–5.
The Tigers tied the score in the third when Vilade, playing in his first Major League game since 2021 against Colorado, got his first hit and RBIs as a Major Leaguer.
For the second straight game, the Tigers led off with a homer when Ibáñez connected against Allen. On Monday, Detroit’s Riley Greene homered on Triston McKenzie’s first pitch – the Tigers’ lone run in a 2-1 loss.
