HyogoMarch 31st (News about Japan) – At Izushi High School in Hyogo Prefecture, students attended a fashion show to unveil their new uniforms, designed with gender awareness in mind.
The students of Izushi High School in Hyogo Prefecture showed off new uniforms at a fashion show that were created with gender awareness in mind.
These new uniforms came about after a request from the then student council president during a meeting between student council and PTA officials last September, in which he expressed a desire to create uniforms that take gender into account.
Now female students have the opportunity to choose not only skirts, but also trousers and ties, giving them the freedom to make personal choices regarding their school attire.
